Goats are incredibly sure-footed climbers and love to stand on high places — even on top of cars or big boulders! They have rectangular pupils in their eyes, which gives them a very wide field of vision to watch for predators. Goats give us milk that can be made into cheese, butter, and soap, and their wool — called mohair or cashmere depending on the breed — is used to make soft fabrics.
Coloring ideas: color the goat a creamy white or light tan with a darker tuft of beard. The small curved horns look natural in light brown or grey. Make the round hill a bright spring green with darker green grass tufts at the edges.
Toddlers love the simple round hill shape — great for a single sweep of a green crayon. Older siblings can add flowers to the hillside or a blue sky with a sun overhead to complete the cheerful scene.
