Friendly Alien in a UFO Coloring Page

A cheerful big-eyed alien with two ball-tipped antennae grins from inside a classic domed flying saucer, its circular rim dotted with round lights, joystick controls visible inside, with stars, planets and a crescent moon floating around it.

Flying saucers — round disc-shaped spacecraft — became popular in science fiction after several reports of unusual aerial sightings in the 1940s and 1950s. Scientists search for signs of life beyond Earth using telescopes and radio telescopes that scan the sky for unusual signals. So far no confirmed evidence of alien life has been found, but space is unimaginably large — our galaxy alone contains over 200 billion stars.

Coloring ideas: make the alien green with large dark eyes for a classic look, or try purple or blue for something unexpected. The flying saucer can be chrome silver or metallic blue, with the dome tinted a light green or yellow. Color the rim lights orange, purple, and yellow alternating for a fun effect.

Kids can invent a home planet for their alien and draw it in the background. Younger children can practice coloring the round dome and oval body shapes.
