Fire trucks are actually several vehicles in one — they carry water tanks, hoses, rescue tools, and sometimes long aerial ladders that can reach up to 30 metres, or about ten floors high. Modern fire engines can pump hundreds of litres of water every minute. Firefighters train regularly so they can act quickly and safely in emergencies.
Coloring ideas: color the truck body bright red, which is the most recognizable color for fire engines around the world. The ladder can be silver or gray. Make the warning lights on the roof red and blue, and color the hose dark yellow or tan.
Kids can challenge themselves to color every compartment door a slightly different shade of red. Older kids can add the scene: draw flames and smoke in the background to show the truck in action, then color it.
