Snowman With Top Hat and Scarf Coloring Page

A happy snowman in a top hat and striped scarf waves his stick arms, standing between two little pine trees as snowflakes fall around him.

Snowmen are usually built from three stacked balls of snow, largest at the bottom. The best snow for building is wet, packing snow that falls when the temperature is near freezing, because it sticks together when you roll it. Dry, powdery snow from very cold days falls apart instead.

Coloring ideas: leave the snowman's body white or add a hint of light blue at the edges to show shadow. The top hat looks classic in black, but a red or green hat makes it festive. Give the scarf alternating stripes in two or three colors, make the nose carrot orange, and color the stick arms brown. The pine trees can be dark green, with white tips for snow.

This is a simple design that suits younger kids learning to stay inside the lines. Older kids can add a background scene, such as a house with lights or more snowmen, or turn the page into a holiday card by folding it in half.
